Whoa I See Another Bad One!

In my last blog post I wrote about psychics not being able to predict deaths . . . but I never said anything about chicken psychics!  A funny cartoon by The Far Side Gary Larson  proves it's possible.  Click on the link and full screen to see.  Enjoy!

Rest Peacefully Sylvia

I just heard that psychic, Sylvia Browne passed away yesterday.  First I'd like to offer my condolences to her family sending prayers to help them through their time of sadness.  I'd also use this as a opportunity to comment on all the social media post question: If she's a psychic didn't she know she was going to die?

Psychics are human beings.  We laugh, cry, hurt, get angry, get sick, die just like anybody else.  We're not super human.   Someone once asked me if I could tap into (read) myself. My answer is always, "Can you tickle yourself to the point of hysteria?"  No, because you can't tickle yourself. I don't know any psychics who can predict what's going to happen to themselves. We  can not predict when we're going to die or for that matter anyone else.

Case in point:  Years ago I went to a psychic after my mother passed away who told me that my dad was going to die soon thereafter.  That was 20-years ago and my dad is still alive and well at the ripe old age of 94-years old.   Death is a nature occurrence.  Death eventually comes to all of us.

So before you post those jokes about how we should know when we're going to die remember we are simply human beings who happen to have been blessed with a special and precious gift.  One we didn't ask to have nor can we give back.  It's who we are.  Rest peacefully Sylvia and someday we'll see you on the other side.
